Now hiring: we are hiring a mining dozer operator in McDowell County, North Carolina. You will be based at an open-cast mine. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) Your main tasks: • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
