Now hiring: we are hiring an articulated lorry driver in Borough of Stockport, England. You will be based at a haulage company. Day to day you will check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; present documents at weighbridges and check posts; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock. You should have: • Confident with manual handling and load securing • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
