Bricklayer • Brighton and Hove, England

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bricklayer in Brighton and Hove, England. You will be based at a residential building site. On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings You should have: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
