Immediate opening: we are hiring a pastry baker in Onondaga County, New York. You will be based at a cake shop. The role involves: • Score the top of loaves before baking • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
