We are recruiting: gantry crane operator (South Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Laurens County, South Carolina. You will be based on a bridge and infrastructure project. You will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination 4+ years on the tools preferred. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
