Immediate opening: HSE officer (Kogi State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a HSE officer in Ofu, Kogi State. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. The role involves: • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
