Trainee butcher — Sussex County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Sussex County, New Jersey. Day-to-day duties: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Six days a week, one day off.
