Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Clarke County, Iowa. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
