Urgent requirement: we are hiring a concrete shuttering carpenter in Saint Martin Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Requirements: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork The role involves strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking.
