Argon arc welder wanted in Washoe County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Washoe County, Nevada. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
