Pipe TIG welder — Rio Arriba County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Pay around $180 per day, based on your experience.
