Hand presser — Gratiot County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Gratiot County, Michigan. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
