Lifting rigger — Woodbury County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Woodbury County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles The role involves establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
