Fire and safety officer — Ouachita County

Join our team: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Ouachita County, Arkansas. The job is on a high-rise building project. Your main tasks: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Full-time with occasional weekends.
