Steam press operator — Aleutians West Census Area

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steam press operator in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. You will be based at a garment factory. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Day-to-day duties: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
