Immediate opening: we are hiring an articulated lorry driver in Irion County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Complete delivery notes, CMR paperwork and proof-of-delivery • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules Requirements: • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Valid digital tachograph card • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules Part-time with flexible hours. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
