Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Parke County, Indiana. The job is in a busy laundry. You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Your main tasks: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
