Horizontal milling machine operator • Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Day to day you will set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
