Great opportunity: we are hiring a rigger in Lake County, South Dakota. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Part-time with flexible hours. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
