Now hiring: we are hiring a production welder in San Bernardino County, California. Day to day you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
