Argon welding operator wanted in Brown County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Brown County, Ohio. On a typical shift you will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Six days a week, one day off. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
