Gas meter installer wanted in Orange County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Orange County, New York. You will be based at a busy gas installation company. Day to day you will thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points. You should have: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings Part-time with flexible hours.
