Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Chicot County, Arkansas. The job is at a wholesale meat market. Day to day you will portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking. You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Performance bonus on top of base pay.
