Pipe tig welder wanted in Stanley County

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Stanley County, South Dakota. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
