Sheet metal welder wanted in Washington County

Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Washington County, Maine. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
