Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Nelson County, Virginia. The job is at a busy construction site. Your main tasks: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
