Rough terrain crane operator • Burke County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Burke County, North Carolina. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. On a typical shift you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; read and interpret the load chart before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) 1+ years on the tools preferred.
