Vacancy available: we are hiring a roofer in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based at a busy roofing firm. Ideal candidate: • Strong enough to lift tile packs and felt rolls all day • A driving licence is an advantage for site travel The role involves: • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights • Lay underlayment and tar paper before tiling • Nail down asphalt shingles in staggered courses • Strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck • Seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing • Insulate and ventilate the roof void Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
