Urgent requirement: fusing press operator (Maryland)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Calvert County, Maryland. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Your main tasks: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron Meals and transport allowance provided.
