Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. You will deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts.
