Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commercial tyre fitter in Keweenaw County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy tyre bay. You should have: • A good eye for tread wear and sidewall damage • 1+ years' experience fitting and balancing tyres • Knowledge of correct torque settings and TPMS resets The role involves: • Demount worn tyres from rims using a tyre changer machine • Keep the tyre bay tidy and dispose of scrap tyres • Carry out wheel alignment and adjust camber and toe • Inflate tyres to the manufacturer's recommended PSI, including nitrogen fills • Remove and refit hub caps and locking wheel nuts • Balance wheels on a computerised wheel balancer and fit clip-on weights Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
