Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Kent County, Texas. On a typical shift you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Rotating shifts. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
