Stainless steel welder • Gilchrist County, Florida

Vacancy available: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Gilchrist County, Florida. You will be based on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection 2+ years on the tools preferred. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
