Cold room technician — Darlington

Immediate opening: we are hiring a cold room technician in Darlington, England. You will work in an AC and refrigeration showroom. The role involves wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution. You should have: • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
