Vacancy available: we are hiring a moulder in Rowan County, North Carolina. You will be based on the moulding line. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
