Gas metal arc welder — Orange County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Orange County, California. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
