Steel fixer — Albemarle County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Albemarle County, Virginia. Day to day you will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
