Great opportunity: argon arc welder (West Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Hampshire County, West Virginia. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
