Fabricator-welder wanted in Monroe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Monroe County, Iowa. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
