Concrete placer — Lyon County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete placer in Lyon County, Iowa. The role involves: • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods 1+ years on the tools preferred.
