Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in McDowell County, West Virginia. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day to day you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage 6+ years on the tools preferred.
