Garment machinist — Gadsden County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Gadsden County, Florida. You will work at a busy garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
