Sheet metal welder — Morgan County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Morgan County, Kentucky. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
