Ironing operator — Borough of Bury

Join our team: we are hiring an ironing operator in Borough of Bury, England. You will work in a tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching. What we are looking for: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine £2,850 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
