Immediate opening: we are hiring a wheel loader operator in Fauquier County, Virginia. The job is at a road-building project. What we are looking for: • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster You will level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines; excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; check for underground cables and services before digging; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines.
