Immediate opening: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in City of Hopewell, Virginia. You will be based in a steel fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes The role involves: • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Full-time, day shift. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
