Urgent requirement: toolroom milling operator (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a toolroom milling operator in Lake County, Michigan. You will work at a busy machine shop. Day-to-day duties: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe Requirements: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
