Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Nottinghamshire, England. What we are looking for: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
