Now hiring: fabricator-welder (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Oakland County, Michigan. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
