Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
